Kinja'd!!!

A while ago I caved in my driver's door slightly on a post, and the gouges were pretty bad, so to protect the bare metal from the elements until I get around to fixing it I've been sealing it off with color keyed duct tape :/

My Father in Law Did that with his 2 Door Blazer. From a distance you can't tell. From up close you don't care. he gave me some to fix my Mazda (Both Are Black). I sold the thing off before I needed it. The wife has re purposed it and now the coffee table end of bed bench that is always in the dark has some new patched on the tears in the "Leather".

Unless you are taking that off again really soon, you are going to regret the hell out of this. Duct tape residue will bake itself on there like nobodies business and be hell to get off.

i know, but the entire area has to be sanded and repainted so it doesn't really matter.

Trying to sand off the residue is going to be pretty tough too. This is what the back of the beater I bought my g/f looks like.
